Why is there black residue on the garage door panels?
This problem typically occurs when the door has oil tempered spring. When the spring works, it releases tiny drops which get deposited on the panels as residue. To remove the marks, you need to wash the panels with a household detergent and water. Dissolve one cup of detergent in five gallons of water.
What causes garage door jamming?
The most common cause of this problem is obstruction in one of the tracks, usually a pebble. It is also possible for one of the tracks to be bent. In this case, the component will need timely repair or replacement, depending on how bad the problem is. Another common cause of jamming is a snapped cable.
